Featured NewsProduct NewsDJI Denies Mavic 4 Pro to U.S.

If you’ve been lusting after the recently released DJI Mavic 4 Pro, you’d better live in Canada, Mexico, or somewhere else the Chinese company sells drones, because you ain’t gonna get one in the United States.
Even worse, DJI reported to The Verge that there is no timeline for bringing the drone to America. And don’t think about traveling to Canada or Mexico to bring a Mavic 4 Pro home, because the drone’s limited warranty will be terminated if you bring it across any border to the USA.
This situation marks the first instance where a conventional DJI drone will not be available in America. In fact, Mavic 4 Pro models have not been sent to U.S.-based reviewers yet.
Not surprisingly, the Trump Administration tariffs are mostly to blame for Americans not being able to get their hands on the new drone. However, there has also been a seven-month delay by U.S. Customs in granting DJI approval to import drones into the country. The DJI Air 3S was a retail victim of this “import interruption.”
Unfortunately, the 90-day pause announced regarding Trump’s tariffs on China isn’t seeming to offer any good news vis-à-vis DJI.
An email statement from DJI’s Daisy Kong reported: “We’re currently reassessing the market conditions and developments and will share any updates once we have completed a full evaluation. Please rest assured that we are making every effort to protect the interests of our customers.”
Protecting those “interests” don’t currently mean putting Mavic 4 Pros in the hands of U.S. customers. All we can do for now is wistfully view DJI's introduction video for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro.
