Parrot, a European leader for professional micro-UAVs, announces that its latest generation of professional micro-UAV systems, ANAFI UKR, has been selected by a major European Defence Force, with one of its leading distribution partners acting as prime contractor, in a competitive 3-year procurement program aimed at modernizing tactical reconnaissance and situational-awareness capabilities across frontline units.
Under this program, Parrot and its distribution partner aim to deliver a large-scale fleet of next-generation tactical reconnaissance UAVs, accompanied by program management, engineering support, maintenance frameworks, documentation, spare-parts packages, and comprehensive training. First orders and deliveries are expected to start before the end of the year.
The agreement also includes multi-year options for significant additional system orders, enabling scalable deployment across the customer’s operational forces as mission needs evolve.
This award is one of the most significant defence contracts won to date by ANAFI UKR and marks a major step forward in Parrot’s expansion across European defence and public safety markets.
The contract award follows a rigorous multi-phase evaluation process under a structured European defence procurement framework. Short-listed bidders were assessed against stringent criteria involving system performance, cost, lifecycle sustainability, technical compliance, and supplier reliability.
Parrot’s solution successfully passed:
• Formal qualification and compliance reviews
• A comprehensive evaluation of cost, capability, and program structure
• A demanding flight demonstration phase, validating system performance in realistic operational conditions.

ANAFI UKR, the selected Parrot unmanned aerial system, is designed to give ground forces rapid, access to advanced aerial intelligence in complex and dynamic operational environments, with standard features including embedded AI, advanced optical navigation, anti-spoofing frequency hopping military radio and hardened cybersecurity architecture, enabling key capabilities such as:

Beyond system delivery, Parrot’s distribution partner will support the European Defence Force Customer through a full lifecycle-services package, including:
