Unlike drones and systems relying on Wi-Fi or additional modules for cellular connectivity, the Nokia drone with native 4G/5G connectivity leverages the broader coverage and higher data throughput of cellular networks for control and data transmission. This native integration comes "out of the box," providing an integrated connectivity solution by default.

T-Mobile's 80-Mile Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight Flight. T-Mobile US, in collaboration with Valmont Industries, showcased the transformative potential of 5G-enabled drones by enabling an 80-mile beyond-visual-line-of-sight flight. The trial, conducted with a drone supplied by Harris Aerial, demonstrated the efficiency of high-resolution video recording and near real-time analysis enabled by 5G.

The trial's success, conducted over a distance of 77 miles, underscored the efficiency of 5G-enabled drones in visual inspections of vital infrastructure.
