Colorado-based P3 Tech Consulting LLC, in alliance with AUVSI for its second annual Law-Tech Connect Workshop at this year’s XPONENTIAL, has significantly expanded its Scholars Program for the Workshop. The Scholars Program enables students, faculty, nonprofit leaders and select industry members to attend the event, receive a drone law text book and 3-day XPO Hall pass for free.
There are still a few scholarships available!
The May 8 Workshop in Denver offers a world-class comprehensive overview and updates on multi-domain uncrewed and autonomous systems law, regulations and policy. It also qualifies as continuing legal education (CLE) for attorneys.
In 2022, Carahsoft, The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider supported 12 faculty members and students from diverse backgrounds with a common interest in uncrewed systems. The University of North Dakota and Easy Aerial provided additional Scholar Support, in the form of travel and lodging for several scholarship recipients.
This year, Carahsoft is joined by several other companies who have signed on to fund their own Scholars Programs including DroneUp, Titan Aviation, MatrixSpace and Green Traurig LLP. UND and Easy Aerial are again supporting their scholars, as is Oklahoma State University.
Event organizer and P3 Tech CEO, Dawn Zoldi (Colonel, USAF Retired) authored the drone law textbook for the Unmanned Safety Institute that will be provided to scholarship recipients and otherwise available for purchase at cost to Workshop attendees. She has deep roots in academia including as a Deputy Director (character & leadership) and Associate Professor of Law at the U.S. Air Force Academy and Adjunct Professor at both Colorado State University-Pueblo and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus. Enabling students and faculty to attend this world-class educational event was consistent with her own personal and her company’s core value of industry education and advocacy.
Zoldi said, “I’m so grateful to work with all of these generous organizations on this important Scholars Program. Together, we aim to help educate and inspire the informed autonomous leaders this industry needs. The future starts here and now. We thank Carahsoft, DroneUp MatrixSpace, Titan Aviation and Green Traurig for helping to make that happen.”
This year’s Workshop boasts an unparalleled speaker line up from government, commercial industry and academia. Its agenda covers a broad range of topics ranging from drone and AAM law/regulation updates, public-private partnership funding opportunities, the law of the air and sea, intellectual property, commercial drones on the battlefield, counter-UAS to privacy law.
Join this year’s scholars, sponsors, faculty and industry all-stars at the Law-Tech Connect Workshop. In addition to the one-day event, all Workshop registrants receive priority attendance at a pre-workshop networking event on Sunday evening, May 7, from 7-9pm at the Urban Putt on 18th Street in Denver, food and drinks throughout the workshop and a free 3-day XPO Hall pass.
Anyone interested in a scholarship to the Workshop should contact Zoldi immediately at dawn@p3techconsulting.com. Scholarships are first-come, first served. The scholarship registration deadline is April 30, 2023.
