The Stork Plate drone delivery system is a drop box design that affixes to the landing gear of the DJI Phantom 3 and 4 models. Originally designed to drop fishing lures further than the angler could cast them the system works via an electronic trigger system and is accomplished by loading your delivery payload into the Stork Box then flying to your destination before landing your drone at your drop-off point. Upon landing you may trigger the mechanism to open the box before flying away to drop your delivery payload. This simple-and-easy design and process is why the Stork Plate wins this year’s award for Best Small Delivery System.
