We’re excited to announce that our next Drone Ops Academy is heading to Nashville, Tennessee, on November 8–9. This two-day, hands-on training is designed for drone pilots, business owners, and entrepreneurs who want to take their skills and services to the next level through drone-powered soft wash and power washing operations.

At Drone Ops Solutions, we believe in doing more than selling equipment, we build operators. Our academies are focused on teaching the complete system: the technology, the safety, the chemistry, and the business strategy that together make drone cleaning a profitable and scalable venture. By the end of the two days, every participant walks away with the technical expertise, operational confidence, and business insight needed to turn drone cleaning into a true revenue stream.

Why We Started Drone Ops Academy

When we started Drone Ops Solutions, our goal was simple: to change the way large-scale exterior cleaning is done. For decades, property managers and contractors have relied on scaffolding, lifts, or rope crews — methods that are expensive, time-consuming, and often dangerous.

Drone cleaning isn’t just safer; it’s smarter. We’ve proven that with the right technology and training, a drone can handle high-rise buildings, hotels, and complex structures faster, cleaner, and with far less disruption to tenants or guests. That’s why we built the Drone Ops Academy, to give other professionals the tools and knowledge to bring this same level of innovation to their markets.

What to Expect in Nashville

Each Drone Ops Academy is structured to blend technical learning with real-world application, and Nashville will be no different.

Day 1 — Foundation & Strategy

We’ll kick things off with Welcome and Orientation, where participants meet the instructor team, review safety guidelines, and go over the course layout. From there, we dive straight into the fundamentals.

Drone Power Washing Fundamentals covers everything from drone setup to understanding the difference between soft wash and power wash systems. We’ll walk through how to calibrate equipment, manage flow and pressure, and determine which cleaning technique is best suited for different surfaces — from glass facades to stone, siding, etc.

Next, we shift into Safety Practices and Risk Management. Safety is non-negotiable in our industry. We’ll cover PPE, chemical handling, flight-zone management, and public-safety best practices. We also discuss real-world risk scenarios so participants understand how to prepare for and mitigate them before they happen.

We’ll close out Day 1 with Business Applications and Strategy — a session that focuses on how to actually build a successful drone cleaning business. We’ll talk about pricing strategies, structuring bids, client acquisition, and ROI. This session gives attendees the confidence to not only fly the drones but to position their services competitively and profitably.

Before the day wraps, we’ll also cover Understanding Cleaning Solutions — a deep dive into detergents, surfactants, and chemical ratios for both soft and power washing. Knowing your chemistry is key to professional-level results and protecting building materials.

Day 2 — Hands-On Flight Training

Day 2 is where everything comes together. This is when we get out in the field and give participants real flying time with our drone power-washing systems. Under instructor supervision, attendees will learn how to maneuver and operate drones in a live environment, adjusting spray patterns, managing flight paths, and handling a variety of cleaning scenarios.

There’s no substitute for hands-on experience, and this portion of the training is what gives our operators the confidence to take on real commercial jobs right after graduation.

We’ll also explore Advanced Operations, including troubleshooting techniques, scaling your operation, and increasing efficiency once you start booking multiple jobs.

The day concludes with our Wrap-Up & Certification — an opportunity to review what we’ve learned, ask final questions, and celebrate each participant’s completion of the academy. Graduates receive a certificate recognizing their hands-on training and readiness to operate drone-powered cleaning systems safely and professionally.

Our Last Academy in Indianapolis

Our most recent academy in Indianapolis was a huge success. Day 1 was hosted at Midwest Washing Systems, where we spent the day training on soft wash and power wash fundamentals. On Day 2, we wrapped up with live drone cleaning at the JW Marriott, giving our attendees a chance to put their new skills to the test on one of the most recognizable hotels in the city.

The energy and excitement from that event showed just how quickly this industry is growing. Seeing attendees go from learning to confidently flying by the end of the second day reinforced exactly why these academies matter — they’re creating the next generation of drone cleaning professionals.

Why You Should Attend

The Drone Ops Academy isn’t just about learning to fly drones, it’s about building a business. We’ve designed the training to give attendees everything they need to operate confidently and scale sustainably. Whether you already own a drone, run a cleaning company, or are just exploring this as a new business opportunity, this academy will give you the technical and entrepreneurial foundation to move forward.

You’ll leave understanding not only how to clean with precision but also how to bid jobs, market your services, and build repeat business. And because drone cleaning is visually striking, we’ll show you how to leverage video content from your flights for marketing, turning your day-to-day operations into powerful promotional material.

For those interested in taking the next step, the academy also serves as a great introduction to becoming a Drone Ops franchise partner, offering a clear path to ownership, ongoing support, and exclusive growth opportunities within our network.
